Doug Borden

Doug Borden is founder and Managing Director of Borden Perlman.  He brings with him more than 25 years experience, having served as manager of sales of commercial and personal insurance for its predecessor, the W.S. Borden Company. A graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University, Doug was recently named to the board of directors of Hopewell Valley Community Bank. A resident of Stockton, NJ, he also serves on the governing boards of the Rescue Mission of Trenton and the Boys and Girls Club.

Jeff Perlman

Jeff Perlman is founder and Managing Director of Borden Perlman. A graduate of Princeton Day School and Bucknell University, he received his graduate degree in Insurance and Risk Management from St. John’s University and received his Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) degree in 1993. Jeff was recently named Chairperson of the Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce. He is past president of Greenwood House, Home for the Jewish Aged, and has also served on the Board of The College of New Jersey and the Ewing Lawrence Sewage Authority. He resides in Princeton with his wife, Sharon, and two children.

Richard Perlman
Vice President / Manager, Personal Lines

Richard Perlman is the father of Jeff Perlman and founder of Perlman Insurance Agency, the predecessor of Borden Perlman. His 48 years of experience is currently put to use as vice president and manager of the personal lines department.

He and his wife reside in Skillman, NJ, Richard has a long history of involvement in the communities he serves. He has held governing positions at Mercer County Community College, Greenwood House, and the Jewish Federation Foundation. He graduated from The Peddie School and Bucknell University, and is best known for his life experience, common sense, and commitment to staying physically and mentally active. His success on the tennis courts validates that commitment.

Kelly Myers

Athletics and insurance has always been a major part of Kelly’s life. After college Kelly coached Division III football at Trenton State College (now The College of New Jersey) from 1979 to 2004. As the Defensive Coordinator for 18 years Kelly coached 7 NJAC Champions, 4 NCAA Playoff appearances and a defense ranked #1 in 1990.

In 1989 Kelly was approached by Doug Borden and his father Jack and entered the insurance business after attending the Drake University School of Insurance. Kelly founded the Sports Group at Borden Perlman in 1990 and has grown the book of business nationwide to become one of the most recognized firms in the country.

Kelly is on the Mercer County Sports Authority Council, and the Board of Directors of the Delaware Valley Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College of Fame. In 2003 Kelly was honored for his years of service at The College of New Jersey as the recipient of the Distinguished Service Award.

Kelly lives in Yardley, PA with his son Gabriel who was born in 1993.

Sarah Willard Cammerzell
Sales and Marketing, Personal Lines

Sarah Willard Cammerzell oversees sales and marketing for the personal lines department of Borden Perlman. She specializes in providing coverage for homes and vacation homes, boats and automobiles, excess liability, and valuable articles such as jewelry and artwork.

A native of Princeton, Sarah is a graduate of Princeton High School and Hamilton College in Clinton, NY, where she received her BA in economics. She is active in a number of Princeton community organizations and currently serves as secretary of the board of trustees of Trinity Counseling Service and as a committee member for the Princeton Symphony Orchestra. Sarah is a member of both the Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce. Sarah and her husband, Frederick "Fritz" Cammerzell, a real estate attorney in Princeton, are members of the Bedens Brook Club. They have two sons in elementary school.

Sharon Cappella
Account Executive

Sharon Cappella, CIC, has been an account executive at Borden Perlman since the summer of 2000. She is also an experienced workers compensation broker. She is committed to continued education and the advancement of technology and sees both as vital to the dynamic insurance industry.

A resident of Bensalem, PA, she enjoys spending time with her husband and children. She also volunteers with PEI Kids, where she is a member of the research & development committee member, and with Women in Business, a subcommittee of the Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce. A graduate of Temple University, she is a member of the Gamma Iota Sigma Risk Management & Insurance Fraternity. In addition to playing with her children, she plays golf, tennis & volleyball.

Bill Kelly
Account Executive

Bill Kelly brings more than 30 years to his position as Account Executive and is licensed in Life/Health and Property/Casualty Insurance. A graduate of Fairleigh Dickenson and Seton Hall Universities, he specializes in Association Insurance Programs. He is very supportive of Borden Perlman’s philosophy of providing services in a people centric manner. When he’s not spending time with his four daughters and three grandchildren, he enjoys touring the links of some of the finest golf courses in the region. He resides in Hillsborough, NJ.

Dale Lefevre
Manager, Commercial Lines

Dale Lefevre serves as Commercial Lines Manager at Borden Perlman. She has worked professionally in the insurance industry since 1977. Dale started her career on the company side of the business with the St. Paul insurance company, gaining a solid knowledge of underwriting. She then took a role in production underwriting in the surplus lines arena where she worked on property, casualty and professional liability risks .She has extensive experience in production, including retail and wholesale underwriting and sales. Dale also possesses a unique understanding of the importance of servicing the clients' needs.

Dale lives in Hillsborough, NJ, where she cheers on her three sons as they pursue various athletic endeavors. She also enjoys cooking and spending time at the gym. Her newest area of interest is ballroom dancing. She recently began taking lessons.

Shelleen Piselli
Account Executive, Commercial Lines

Shelleen Piselli, CIC, has been a Commercial Account Executive for 22 years and is licensed in both NJ and PA. She is committed to the relationships she has built over the years and uses her expertise to keep the insurance process as uncomplicated as possible for each of her clients.

Married with four daughters, Shelleen currently resides in Jamison, PA, where she is strongly rooted in her Lutheran Church and plays in the Bell Choir. A native of Hamilton Township, she is a member of the Mercer Regional and Princeton Chambers of Commerce. In her spare time, she enjoys restoring old damaged furniture and gifting it to others.
