5th Annual Witherspoon Grill Harvest Festival
October / 24 / 2013
On Sunday October 13th, 2013, the Witherspoon Grill hosted its fifth annual harvest & music festival. Featuring live bands, hot food, treats, drinks & many family-friendly activities, the festival helped support the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK). This year’s Harvest festival raised $5,668.00 in funds & generated 14 boxes of food donations, weighing in over 150lbs. Food collection sites were located at the Witherspoon Grill, the Blue Point Grill, and the Princeton Public Library. Over the past 5 years, the Witherspoon Grill’s Harvest Festival has raised $13,351.00 total in funds. The funds raised at this year’s event were a concerted effort from the following vendors: Button’s Creperie, Tico’s Eatery & Juice Bar, Sweet Mama, & Erika’s Face-Painting. Monetary donations also came from raffle ticket sales, straight cash donations to TASK, and the Pie-Eating contest.
The entire event was sponsored by NJ Manufacturers Insurance Company (NJM), Callaway Henderson Sotheby’s International Realty, Borden Perlman Salisbury & Kelly, Mercedes-Benz of Princeton, and the Witherspoon Grill. Individuals who attended the festival were able to enjoy the sounds of local musicians; Joe Vadala, Rest Assured, Franklin & Alison, Jon & Mike, and Pi Fight.
The festival takes place every year on a fall day in October, on Hinds Plaza adjacent to the Public Library in Princeton. Thank you Witherspoon Grill for all your help and support this year & years past!
