Ewing, New Jersey (March 13, 2014) PEAC Health & Fitness is gearing up for its 7th annual "Runway to Runway" to benefit the Mercer County Chapter of the Sunshine Foundation. The event will take place on Saturday, March 29, 2014 from 6:00 – 10:00pm.
This year's gala event, "Casino Royale," will feature professionally run casino games, bingo, and live entertainment by Ewing-based band, "The TEMPOraries." A silent auction with over 125 items is open now at PEAC and will conclude at the event. Attendees may also win Premier Raffle prizes, including a bicycle donated by Knapp's Cyclery, wine tasting at Hopewell Valley Vineyards, Visa gift cards, rounds of golf, and more. Added by PEAC this year is a 50/50 cash raffle, for which tickets are currently being sold at PEAC and other local events to increase the prize and donation amounts.
All proceeds from Runway to Runway benefit the Sunshine Foundation's Dreamlift, which transports approximately 100 physically handicapped, critically ill or abused children to Orlando, Florida for one day of fun at Walt Disney World. It's an adventure most of these kids would not experience if not for the Dreamlift. Dreamlift takes flight Tuesday, May 6, 2014 from the National Guard Facility adjacent to Trenton/Mercer Airport.
Since 2008, with the support of the community, PEAC has raised more than $150,000 to benefit the Dreamlift. "We are so excited about hosting this event again," said Laurel Reid, PEAC's Runway to Runway Chairperson. "Runway to Runway is the largest contributor to the Dreamlift each year, and we are proud to be able to help so many local, special children."
Runway to Runway "Casino Royale" is sponsored by Borden Perlman Salisbury & Kelly, Greg's Landscaping, Lawrence Landscapes, The Mercadien Group, The Naggar Family, Stark & Stark and West Trenton Hardware. In addition, the Church & Dwight Employee Giving Fund, Inc. provided a $5,000 grant to Sunshine Foundation, which will be directly contributed to the Dreamlift.
Tickets are $40 per person and include $20 in game chips for the casino tables and one bingo card. Space is limited and all tickets must be purchased in advance. For more information, to volunteer, donate, become a sponsor, or purchase a ticket, please contact Laurel Reid by email, or by phone at 609-883-2000.
